Translation and TC: Writing for Internationalization

In a global world, having documentation in multiple languages is critical to many companies’ success. Technical communicators are often task with coordinating the translation of a given text, and there are steps that technical writers should take to ensure an accurate and successful translation project. This webinar will review the terms internationalization, translation, localization and globalization as well as practical tips for making the process as painless a possible. The technology behind machine translation and computer-assisted translation tools will be examined. Lastly, we will also learn how to avoid common English writing conventions that will make texts easier to translated into any number of languages.
