Five Strategies for Making Interdisciplinary Teams Work
Interdisciplinary teams make for great project outcomes, but how do you make these teams work well? This presentation considers a recent successful state research grant project from proposal to completion. The project team was comprised of a digital archivist (librarian), a programmer, a UX researcher, and an instructional designer from three different departments across two organizations. The presentation will cover team formation, team functionality, collaboration tools, reporting mechanisms, project closure, and lessons learned.
